Cerne Abbas Stores has been run by the current owners for the last three decades, it was in a poor state if repair at the time of purchase, and has been extensively refurblished over that period to create a superb local facility for the village and the surrounding area.
At the point of purchase In 1984 the shop offered basic groceries. Over the early years, refurbishment started by the addition of modern freezers and chillers, in the following decades the addition of technology has played it part with the installation of DVD's, lottery, fax and photocopying.
2006, Cerne Abbas Stores took over the running of the local Post Office and outreaches.
2010, Cerne Abbas Stores won the award of 'Best Local Business' for the South-West region.
2012, saw the introdutcion of in-store daily baked products, proving a imensley successful and appreciated by the customers, in additional to the supply of bread, six days a week from the renowned Evershot Bakery.
2015: Cerne Abbas Stores currently has nine part-time members of staff, looking forward to welcoming you to the Village.
